About a year ago, our middle daughter, Bethany, began having dreams nightly about a boy who was saying, "I am waiting for you. Come and get me." She was really impacted by these dreams but none of us really knew what to think about them at the time. Very soon, however, we were to find out just what they were about!
A few months later, on August 17, 2010, a missionary from Ukraine came to speak at our church and brought pictures of some of the orphans that she works with. As we were looking at the pictures, Bethany pointed to one of the boys and said, "That is the boy in my dream!" We were amazed! We found out his name and some information about him. Then, we took his picture home and began to pray for him.
From the very beginning, Bethany knew that Vitya was to be a part of our family and in the next few months, the Lord began to show that to each one of us at different times. . At this time, however, David was not open to adoption, so the rest of us just continued to pray for Vitya and wait. In the meantime, the love we had in our hearts for him began to grow and the Lord was confirming to me that Vitya was to be our son.
On March 17, the long awaited day finally came. While David was riding in his truck, the Lord spoke clearly to him and said, "This is your son. Go get him!" We were estatic!! We all knew this was the leading of the Lord that the time was right to begin the adoption process! So, on March 18, 2011, we began the formal process of BRINGING VITYA HOME!
